What Is Mentoring?

‘Mentoring refers to a personal developmental relationship in which an experienced & knowledgeable person helps a student. The intent is to develop the student’s capabilities through a one-on-one relationship that is outside a formal organizational structure. Mentors provide insight, guidance, and point advice and direction, based on their own experience and expertise.’*

Why Mentor?

Mentoring provides a guarantee to students that someone out there cares and is looking out for them. It offers them a reassurance that they are not alone in dealing with the day-to-day challenges and issues.
